We work with community volunteers in Timor-Leste to provide clean water and sanitation to schools and villages
Our water projects in Timor-Leste change lives. Clean water means better health, education and community outcomes for a country that is our nearest neighbour and yet one of the least developed in the world.
HEALTH
HEALTH
Water is life and clean water means health.
Clean water is vital to the health of rural communities and lack of access to this leads to diseases such as cholera dysentery, and rheumatic fever. 75 children die in Timor-Leste each year from diarrhoea.
EDUCATION
EDUCATION
Water sustains life. Education enriches it.
With taps stands in villages, school attendance doubles for girls because walking long distances to collect water is no longer necessary.
ECONOMIC
ECONOMIC
There are vegetables growing beside the houses and the children are clean.
Market gardens are flourishing and coffee processing is facilitated because we have ready access to water.
COMMUNITY
COMMUNITY
The water flows and the community benefits.
Water in our village has made a huge difference to our lives.

With Water on tap it’s easier to clean and cook and my children are healthier.
