Who We Are

We are all volunteers and our Committee of Management works to benefit the rural population of Timor-Leste.

Our team of volunteers work with rural communities in Timor-Leste
We have no paid staff, just extraordinary people who do extraordinary things to ensure that all the funds that we raise go directly to water projects.

The World’s first Medicine – Clean Water

Andy's Story

Andy the plumber passes the hat

During the visits I made to Timor Leste the aim was always, to teach. ‘You have to learn’”, I told the team.

I felt so proud when I finally ‘passed the hat’. Now the communities could do the plumbing installation themselves”.

Yve's Story

Mother of water

Its important to wash your hands”, I said.
Maria replied, “But we have no water at our house”.

Humiliated, I recalled my own comfortable life.
Friends turned on the tap for my next birthday and water began to flow in Timor-Leste.

Eddie's Story

Timor Leste advisor

I’m just a truck driver” Eddie said

Eddie de Pina who fled to Australia as a refugee in 1975 is much more than a “truck driver”. He is an “inspiration”.

Returning to Timor Leste in 2002 to help and support his community, Eddie works tirelessly. He forms a vital link as the in-country advisor, heading the water team and liaising closely with volunteers in Australia.
